Walk-In Shower & Wet-Room Installation – Cramond, Edinburgh .
In a charming riverside home along Cramond shoreline, the tight bathroom layout was transformed into a spacious, accessible wet‑room featuring a walk‑in shower. The homeowners wanted a modern, barrier‑free design that would work well long-term and complement the calm Cramond aesthetic. The project involved a full removal of the existing bathtub, cubicle, and outdated fixtures to make way for a clean, open space oriented towards natural light and ease of use.
We installed a porcelain tray and integrated membrane beneath to ensure water drains effortlessly. Plumbing was enhanced to support a rainfall showerhead, and thermostatic control. A heated towel rail was discreetly linked to the home’s central gas system by certified Gas Safe engineers. Our team added low-crisp LED wall sconces beside the mirror and a humidity-auto extractor wired on a separate circuit. The walls and floor were clad in large-format, slip-resistant stone-effect porcelain for a durable, easy-to-clean finish. A frameless glass panel and recessed storage niche added a boutique touch, marrying aesthetics and functionality.
This Cramond wet‑room demonstrates thoughtful design and practical engineering—balancing comfort, sophistication, and safety. Coordinated plumbing, electrics, gas work, and joinery created a refined, open-plan shower space tailored to the local suburb’s understated elegance. The homeowners now enjoy a luxurious, user-friendly bathroom perfectly suited to their riverside lifestyle.
