Urban-Style Shower Suite – High Street, Edinburgh .
Project Overview
Positioned along Edinburgh’s iconic High Street, this project revitalised a compact guest bathroom into a sleek, city-chic shower suite. The original space felt cramped, with dated fixtures. Our aim was to craft a stylish, efficient retreat—with an open feel—while weaving in full-service solutions: plumbing, electrics, gas-safe heating, waterproofing, tilework, and tailored joinery.
Our Touch
We began by stripping the room back thoroughly, removing the old cubicle, vanity, and even floor screed to reconfigure the layout. A premium wet-zone membrane was applied, and the floor was expertly levelled towards a minimalist linear drain. We upgraded the plumbing with new feeds and wastes to support a state-of-the-art shower system featuring both a rainhead and wand, with a thermostatic valve. Under Gas Safe supervision, our certified engineers installed a designer towel radiator linked to the boiler. Our electricians installed eye-level LED wall fixtures and ceiling pods, creating soft light zones, while a humidity-controlled extractor quietly protects the room. For storage, we built a floating vanity unit with push-open drawers and recessed shelf niches—streamlining the space without sacrificing utility.
