Project Overview
Set in the leafy Blackford suburb, this bathroom revamp centred on transforming a practical shower area into a spa-inspired retreat. The homeowners requested a design that felt spacious and contemporary, without losing the understated charm of EH9 living. We started by removing every existing fixture and outdated tiling to maximise the room’s potential.
Our Approach
Once the room was stripped back to brick and floor plate, we installed a full-grade waterproof membrane and integrated a low-profile shower tray engineered for seamless drainage. Plumbing works included rerouting supply and waste lines for a luxury dual shower – both rainfall and adjustable hand spray – and connecting a designer towel warmer via Gas Safe specialists. For lighting, we installed edge-lit LED downlights above the vanity and strategically positioned wall sconces to uplift the ambience. A humidity-sensing extractor fan ensures moisture control and prevents mould. The finishing palette consists of muted stone-effect porcelain tiles and a sleek frameless glass partition, lending a minimalist yet tactile finish. Custom-built walnut-grain vanity cabinetry with push-open drawers enhances storage without disrupting the aesthetic flow.
