Project Overview
This Morningside property underwent a full-scale bathroom transformation to create a modern wet-room with clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic. The original bathroom was completely stripped back to the bare walls and subfloor, allowing us to reconfigure the layout for a more open, user-friendly design. The homeowners wanted a space that felt light and spacious, with easy maintenance and a touch of luxury—ideal for a contemporary townhouse in Edinburgh’s EH10 area.
Our Approach
We started by removing every element of the outdated suite, right down to the old pipework and wiring. After preparing the substructure, we installed a full wet-room tanking system to ensure long-term waterproofing. Plumbing was upgraded throughout, with new supply and waste pipes fitted to handle the open shower area and repositioned fixtures. Our plumbers connected a sleek heated towel rail to the central heating system, while our electricians added soft, ambient LED downlights and a discreet extractor fan to manage humidity. The space was finished with textured stone-effect porcelain tiles and a frameless glass screen to give a seamless, spa-like feel. Custom-built vanity furniture and recessed shelving completed the look, combining style with practical storage.
